Senior I Frontend Developer
We are seeking a senior-level Frontend Developer based in Brazil to join our team. At Bit Complete, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of our clients' product platforms while directly building user-facing features. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy moving between deep platform thinking and hands-on product iteration.
This is a role for senior, self-sufficient engineers who enjoy solving ambiguous problems, owning systems end-to-end, and mentoring peers as we push the limits of our clients' product. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for projects of strategic value, bringing clarity to areas of greater complexity, and empowering the team to do its best work. In return, you can expect latitude in how you choose to run projects and design systems, while receiving direct support, guidance, and coaching from Bit Complete’s Partners.
A quick note before you apply: This role might not be actively open right now, but we’re always excited to meet talented developers. If you complete our application process, we’ll add you to our team pipeline. When an opportunity arises that aligns with your skills and experience, we’ll review your profile and get in touch. This helps us move quickly when the right opportunity comes up and keeps us connected with great people.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and building foundational infrastructure: Build and maintain systems for authentication, permissions, feature flagging, notifications, and document management integrations.
- Evolve the internal product platform: Accelerate development across multiple product lines and engineering teams by creating reusable, high-quality frontend infrastructure.
- Project management and ownership: You’ll handle project timelines, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure alignment on project goals. You'll be expected to exercise sound judgment within established processes, and as you grow, you'll demonstrate greater autonomy, anticipating and resolving issues independently.
- Collaborating and support: Participate actively in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to documentation. You’ll work cross-functionally to align technical solutions with client needs and company goals.
Requirements
- Technical expertise: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally with exposure to some backend development. Proficiency in React, TypeScript, CSS, and in one of Python, Go, or a similar language is required. In addition to familiarity with enterprise SaaS patterns, such as role-based access control (RBAC), feature flag systems, and third-party integrations.
- Leadership experience: You’ve led project teams, provided technical direction, and know how to bring people together to drive solutions. Experience with software architecture and debugging is essential.
- Strong communication skills: We work remotely, so clear communication is key. You excel at keeping everyone aligned, from writing detailed documentation to engaging with clients.
- Problem-solving mindset: You enjoy tackling ambiguous problems, experimenting, and learning on the fly. You’re ready to step up and resolve complex technical challenges.
