Mobile Developer (Senior)

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer based in Brazil to join our team. At Bit Complete, you’ll make direct technical contributions to a variety of client projects, often working closely with founders or small technical teams to design, build, and launch impactful mobile apps. Most of our engagements involve one project at a time, and you’ll be expected to lead development efforts with autonomy and ownership. This is a role for experienced engineers who are comfortable with ambiguity, capable of designing thoughtful solutions, and enjoy seeing a product come to life from the earliest stages. Projects may include greenfield builds, feature development in existing native apps, or collaborative work with other mobile engineers to improve app performance and maintainability.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing and developing impactful mobile software: You’ll lead the implementation of features and entire apps using Swift, and occasionally React Native when appropriate. Whether building a product from 0→1 or integrating into a team to support a live app, you’ll take a user-centered approach to development. You’ll deliver high-quality, maintainable code with a strong sense of ownership, and continuously look for ways to improve the experience and performance of the applications you work on.
• Project ownership and leadership: You’ll help shape product and technical direction in collaboration with clients and teammates. This means making architectural decisions, identifying trade-offs, and driving delivery of scoped work. You’ll work independently and guide less experienced engineers when needed, helping the team move forward efficiently and thoughtfully.
• Cross-functional collaboration: You’ll partner with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to align technical implementation with business needs and user expectations. Strong communication is essential: you’ll be expected to clearly articulate progress, raise risks early, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Technical expertise: You have 6+ years of relevant experience building and shipping mobile apps, with deep fluency in Swift and native iOS development. Experience with React Native is a plus, but not required. You’re confident working with common frameworks, API integrations, and App Store release processes. You understand how to build elegant interfaces, handle data gracefully, and optimize performance.
• Product and delivery mindset: You’ve worked on consumer-facing products and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new ideas to life. You’re comfortable with uncertainty, capable of breaking down ambiguous requirements, and excited about turning early-stage concepts into real, usable features.
• Strong communication skills: We work remotely, so clear, proactive communication is key. You’re comfortable discussing trade-offs, collaborating asynchronously, and sharing knowledge with teammates and clients alike.
• Leadership and autonomy: You take initiative and are accountable for outcomes. You’ve led projects or critical features before, helped drive technical direction, and supported others through code reviews and pairing.
